Project Expedite Justice is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. The Accounting Intern will report directly to the Financial Accountant and will support various financial and administrative tasks within the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in non-profit finance and contribute to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Accountant with transaction processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support the admin team with logistics and travel arrangements for staff and project activities.
- Assist with travel advance disbursements and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist with weekly payments, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Aid in credit card reconciliations, verifying transactions and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide support and assistance as necessary
Requirements:
- Finance qualification.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative when necessary.
- Interest in non-profit finance and social justice issues.
