You are a UX designer with an emphasis on clear, clean, and fun interactions. You see design as a series of neverending questions. Asking, “Do you like this? Does this accomplish your goals? Does this make your life better in some way?”
You are a true UX practitioner. A process nut. You are creative, intuitive, and always learning. You have an interest in providing a healthy way for users to escape the stress of the day.
You are a team player. You know to check your ego at the door. You would also love nothing more than to help people around the world discover the fun of chess!
What You’ll Do
- Create simple, clear, and fun interactions
- Take ownership in the creation of core product initiatives
- Collaborate with team members to push our product design vision further
- Delve through best practices across Gaming and SAS platforms
- Utilize Kaizen principles that continually improve products in ways that avoid change resistance
- Work with the creative team to assure consistency across platforms
- Develop a connection to a game that has been growing for 1500 years
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX and product design, preferably in a fast-paced and agile environment
- You “get” chess
- Excellent communicator and collaborator
- Lifelong learner
- Familiarity with key UX Design software (Especially Figma)
- Familiarity with utilizing design systems (including Figma tokens)
- Ability to think through and define user flows
- Experience working directly with product and development teams do solve problems
- Familiarity with UX research + implementing designs to act on said research
- Experience designing UI user flows/forms
- consideration for the smaller details: styling inputs, error handling, hover effects, etc
- Experience crafting experiences for both web and mobile apps
- Think mobile first and how to adapt for different form factors from there
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of user-centered design solutions and your design process.
About the Opportunity
This is a full-time position.
We are 100% remote (work from anywhere, but expect to maintain some overlap with core US hours)
